INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The close-knit nature of our communities often fosters a strong sense of camaraderie and support among residents, creating a unique living experience that combines the best of both worlds: the tranquility of small-town life with the conveniences of urban living.

Living in the Canadian Rockies: Options to Consider

Boarding at PCS: Nestled amidst the serene beauty of the Purcell Golf Course, against the backdrop of the Purcell and Rocky Mountain Ranges, and bordered by the tranquil St. Mary’s River, our in-development boarding accommodations (to be located on our main campus in Marysville) will offer a blend of natural splendor and urban convenience.

With round-the-clock security, support, care, and supervision from our highly qualified dorm managers, our students find ample time for rejuvenation, focused study, leisurely relaxation, and immersive outdoor experiences.

Students who board at PCS will participate in scheduled after-school and weekend activities and events, with transportation.

A warm, family-like dining experience welcomes students with three daily nutritious meals of breakfast, lunch, and supper (dinner). Meals are made using high-quality, seasonal ingredients and can be customized to meet any student’s specific dietary requirements.

Homestay: International students may alternatively choose to immerse themselves in Canadian culture by living with a host family and attending Purcell Collegiate School.

Host families are carefully selected and must undergo Criminal Record Checks, an interview, and a home inspection before being accepted into the PCS homestay program.

Host families come in all shapes and sizes and are reflective of Canada’s diverse population. In many cases, your host family may have a student of their own attending PCS.

Custodianship: A senior staff member of PCS will accept custodianship for every international student attending PCS.
