ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS
Boarding at Purcell Collegiate School gives our students an amazing opportunity to live and experience a whole new culture while sharing their own culture and background. Together we build an exciting learning and living experience.
Our boarding campus at St. Eugene Resort is nestled in a beautiful mountain valley with spectacular views of the nearby Hoodoos along St. Mary’s River and a championship golf course. It is located on the traditional, ancestral homeland of the Ktunaxa peoples.
We are grateful for the opportunity to live, learn, work and play on this special land for the important purpose of connecting our educational environment to the natural environment while fostering learning and inspiring leaders in the Ktunaxa way, as keepers of the land and waters.
Students share accommodation with other students in a spacious dorm environment with a maximum of 3 students per dorm room. A shared bathroom is accessible by the students in their own dorm room and a study desk, chair and wardrobe storage is provided.
Each dorm room also is provided with a fridge to store small snacks or other items that need refrigeration.
Students are supervised 24/7 at the dormitory by caring and dedicated staff. An emergency contact number is made available to contact the dorm staff at any time for students or parents to access. Dorms are regularly checked by staff to ensure ongoing cleanliness as the students share in the ownership of keeping their dorm rooms clean and organized for the benefit of all students who share in the space.
Several common areas are available for students to access to visit with other students and to study or relax. A fitness centre and swimming pool are also included amenities for students to enjoy, as well as numerous outdoor spaces to study and take in the beautiful nature that surrounds the campus.
Outside of our accommodations, students have the opportunity to enjoy nearby Kimberley or Cranbrook and the convenient shopping facilities and local activities. Students may also remain in-house during holiday periods with meal services available.
MEALS
At Purcell Collegiate School we recognize the importance of great meals to fuel our physical well-being as well as our minds each day.
A warm, welcoming dining experience welcomes students at Purcell Collegiate School with three daily nutritious meals, of breakfast, lunch and supper (dinner).
Our cafeteria at the dormitory allows students to enjoy meals while socializing with other students. Students will assist our kitchen staff with the preparation and clean-up on a scheduled basis or as part of their education culinary elective courses.
