KIMBERLEY, BC: Purcell Collegiate School (PCS) is pleased to announce the appointment of  Zoë Ramdin to the position of STEM Coordinator at Purcell Collegiate School (PCS).  Zoë  will begin in her new role when school starts in September.

Zoë brings a lifelong passion for math, science, and empowering youth to her role as STEM Coordinator. A trailblazer from an early age, she began tutoring peers in high school and went on to earn a degree in Chemical Engineering. Her engineering career spans industry, government, and consulting, including work at Kimberley’s historic Sullivan Mine, where she was the sole Environmental Engineer on site and contributed to pioneering environmental reclamation efforts.

A committed advocate for women in STEM, Zoë has delivered countless presentations to students from elementary to university levels. She likes to challenge the myth that math and science are “too hard” or not for everyone and get students curious and enthusiastic using interactive experiences and problem solving. Her presentations have been self-motivated as well as through her professional engineering association and employer.

Beyond the classroom, Zoë’s other passions are movement and the outdoors. She is a level one coach in 4 different sports, worked a certified personal trainer and is a qualified yoga instructor and yoga therapist. She has the belief that problems are solved and new ideas generated as you move and breathe especially outdoors.

Above all, Zoë finds joy in helping students discover their potential in STEM, lighting the way for the next generation of thinkers and innovators.
